Seeing a Sport

Exercise Beginner 20 min 4–20

Description

In this exercise, players divide into two teams by counting off in twos. Each team decides on a sport to watch. Once agreed, the team goes on stage and waits for everyone to call out ‘Curtain!’ when ready. The focus is on observation.

Setup Requirements

An open space where participants can spread out and observe at a distance.

  • See with your ears!

Points of Observation

  • Stress that the event is at a distance to encourage anticipation and observation.
  • Frequent side-coaching can help maintain focus and engagement.
  • Participants should not interact with each other while observing; focus on individual work.

Evaluation

  • What did you notice about your surroundings?
  • How did distance change your perspective?
  • Were you able to stay focused on the event?
