Exercise Advanced 20 min 2–10

Description

In this exercise, two or more players perform blindfolded on a bare stage. The audience can see a floorplan on a board, labeled with words instead of symbols, allowing them to follow along.
The participants must navigate as though they can see, engaging with the audience throughout the performance.

Setup Requirements

An empty stage and a large board with a drawn floorplan labeled with words.

Point of Concentration

Use all the objects on the board as if you could see them.

Side Coaching

  • Share the stage picture!
  • Make sure to express yourself with your face!

Points of Observation

  • Watch how well actors communicate with the audience.
  • Observe their navigation through the stage using the board clues.

Evaluation

  • How effectively did the actors engage with the audience?
  • Did the performers manage to stay oriented on the stage?
