Description

In this single-player improv exercise, the player responds to an imaginary phone call. The player's goal is to engage in a guarded conversation, keeping the details hidden from the audience. The player can express emotions and thoughts through body language without revealing the actual conversation.

Setup Requirements

A quiet space for the player to perform their exercise without distractions.

  • Encourage the player to use facial expressions and gestures.
  • Remind them to keep their voice tone varied yet mysterious.
  • Suggest subtle changes in posture to show different emotions.

Points of Observation

  • Watch how well the player maintains intrigue without giving away details.
  • Observe the physicality used to convey unspoken thoughts.
  • Note the emotional shifts during the conversation.

Evaluation

  • Who was on the other end of the line?
  • What did the player think of the other person?
  • How did they use body language to communicate?
