Exercise Advanced 30 min 2–2

Description

This exercise involves two advanced players who will create a scene using an agreed-upon object. They must keep the object in focus throughout the scene, using it to drive their actions and interactions.

Setup Requirements

An object for players to interact with.

Point of Concentration

Total focus on, and exploration of, the agreed object.

Side Coaching

  • Stay with the object!
  • Describe the object!
  • See it in detail!
  • Set it in motion!

Points of Observation

  • Ensure players stay focused on the object and the immediacy of the stage.
  • Watch for the evolution of relationships and character dynamics through the object.
  • Monitor the intensity of players' engagement with the object.

Evaluation

  • What changes did the object create in the scene?
  • How did the focus on the object enhance the performance?
  • Did players succeed in keeping the object central to their interactions?

Examples

Example scenarios:
  • Using a book to create a setting, flipping its pages to reveal new emotions.
  • Utilizing a chair to establish a dynamic between two characters.
