Exercise Intermediate 15 min 3–5

Description

In this exercise, three players engage in a dynamic interaction. One player (A) serves as the center, while the other two (B and C) are preoccupied with their individual thoughts or activities. They approach the central player for comments or advice without acknowledging each other. This setup encourages focus and attentiveness.

Setup Requirements

A space large enough for players to move around freely.

Side Coaching

  • Encourage players to maintain their separate conversations without breaking character.
  • Remind the center player to balance their attention between both guests.
  • Support the use of physicality to express emotions and ideas.

Points of Observation

  • Watch how well the center player engages with both participants.
  • Note the creativity and depth of each player's storyline.
  • Look for moments of conflict or awareness between B and C's topics.

Evaluation

  • What challenges did the center player face?
  • How did each player manage their focus?
  • What techniques helped in maintaining the conversation?

  • Player C: "I really think we need to address the issues John is having right now..."
