Focus on time and its impact on the scene.

Side Coaching

  • Encourage players to embody the time period in their interactions.
  • Highlight how timing can shift the mood of the scene.
  • Remind players to think about how their actions reflect their time setting.

Points of Observation

  • Watch how accurately players embody the chosen time period.
  • Note how players adapt their dialogue and actions based on the time.
  • Observe language and behavior shifts as they interact.

Evaluation

  • What elements of time did you notice affecting the scene?
  • How did the chosen time shape the characters and their interactions?
  • What worked well in developing the scene with respect to time?

Examples

  • "This late-night diner is bustling at midnight!"
  • "Back in the roaring twenties, we always danced the Charleston!"
  • "In the future, we communicate only through holograms!"
