Where with Obstacles

Exercise Intermediate 30 min 4–10

Description

In this exercise, players engage in a scene using the same framework as "Where with Help." Each player must try to make contact with objects while simultaneously preventing others from doing so. The focus is on maintaining relationships through the Who, What, and Where of the scene.

Setup Requirements

A clear space with various objects that can be used for interaction.

Point of Concentration

Connecting through relationships while navigating obstacles.

Side Coaching

  • Encourage players to address the obstacles creatively.
  • Remind them to keep their actions grounded in relationships.

Points of Observation

  • Watch how players interact with objects through their character's relationships.
  • Observe if the relationships become more dynamic under the pressure of obstacles.
  • Ensure players maintain strong focus on one another to solve the exercise’s challenges.

Evaluation

  • Which approach added more realism to the scene: helping each other or facing obstacles?
  • How did the obstacles affect the authenticity of the relationships?
