WHO GAME C, ADDING CONFLICT

Game Intermediate 20 min 2–4

Description

This game builds on the 'Who Game A' by adding a pre-planned conflict or tension between players. One player assumes a specific role, while the other is unaware of this background. Conflict arises naturally when the unaware player interacts with the prepared scenario.

Setup Requirements

A stage or open space for performance.

Point of Concentration

Creating conflict in relationships.

Side Coaching

  • Encourage players to fully commit to their roles.
  • Focus on body language and tone to convey tension.
  • Allow moments of silence to build suspense.

Points of Observation

  • Watch for natural conflict escalation between players.
  • Note how the audience reacts to the tension.
  • Observe the improvisation skills in navigating conflicts.

Evaluation

  • How did the tension affect your performance?
  • What strategies worked to convey conflict?
  • Did the audience engage more with the added conflict?

Examples

Example Scenario: A is a mean, taciturn parent seated in the living room. B enters as a teenager, coming home late from a date.
  • B: "I’m home! Can I talk to you?"
  • A: "Talk? About what? You’re late. Again."
