Description

In this exercise, participants focus on creating gibberish that mimics the rhythmic patterns of various languages, such as Swedish, Russian, and Japanese. This helps enhance their understanding of language rhythms while practicing improvisational skills.

Setup Requirements

A space for participants to gather and perform. No special materials needed.

Point of Concentration

Deliberate rhythm patterns.

Side Coaching

  • Encourage students to exaggerate the rhythms of the target languages.
  • Remind them to listen closely to each other for inspiration.
  • Keep the atmosphere light and playful.

Points of Observation

  • Are participants successfully adopting different rhythms?
  • How creatively are they using gibberish with the new rhythms?

Examples
