HERO EXERCISE

Exercise Beginner 15 min 2–10

Description

The Hero Exercise involves two or more players creating a scene centered around a chosen object. Teams must collaboratively decide on the object, its location, characters involved, and the situation surrounding it.
Scenes evolve based on how the object is used and perceived, drawing inspiration from fairy tales where objects often play crucial roles.

Side Coaching

  • Encourage players to fully interact with the object.

  • Prompt players to think of creative ways to utilize the object in their scenes.

Points of Observation

  • Watch for how players incorporate the object into the story.
  • Observe the group dynamics and collaboration in scene creation.
  • Check for creativity in using the object as the focal point.

Evaluation

  • What made the object feel heroic?
  • How did the setting enhance the narrative?
  • What challenges did players face while focusing on the object?
