Involvement with Large Objects

Exercise Intermediate 15 min 1–1

Description

In this exercise, a single player interacts with a large, entangling object. The goal is to immerse oneself in the experience of the object rather than focusing on disentangling from it.

Point of Concentration

Side Coaching

  • Encourage the player to fully express their connection to the object.
  • Remind them to keep the focus on the object, not on themselves.
  • Use vivid physicality to explore the relationship with the object.

Points of Observation

  • Watch for the player's physical engagement with the object.
  • Note how they maintain focus on the object throughout the exercise.
  • Pay attention to their creative interpretations of the object's characteristics.

Evaluation

  • How did the player embody the object?
  • What emotions or themes emerged during the exercise?
  • Did the player effectively keep their concentration on the object?

Examples
