MAINTAINING SURFACE HEIGHTS

Exercise Beginner 15 min 1–1

Description

In this exercise, the player focuses on maintaining the height of a surface while placing small objects on it. The goal is to set each object down with strong impact without causing the surface to change height.

Setup Requirements

A stable surface like a table or countertop and various small objects such as books, pencils, and glasses.

Point of Concentration

keeping the height of the surface stable and constant

Side Coaching

  • Encourage steady, direct placement of objects.
  • Remind players to focus on the stability of the surface.
  • Monitor for patterns of stacking instead of stable placement.

Points of Observation

  • Watch for resistance to the point of concentration.
  • Identify if players start stacking objects instead of placing them one at a time.
  • Note how players adapt to maintaining the surface height.

Evaluation

  • What challenges did you face in maintaining surface height?
  • How did you feel about your placement of objects?
  • What strategies worked best for keeping the height stable?
